Defend a time-series visual argument
Begin with the five-minute change-over-time refresh.
Produce a concise evidence brief that states the time unit, transformation, smoothing choice, comparison baseline, uncertainty, and claim boundary.
Where do I get my data?
Use the month and value dataset from the R lab — 24 months of data with a trend, a level shift, and a visible one-period shock. Verify transformations, smoothing, and claim boundaries on it. The same lab builds a second series — 36 months of enrolments with a real annual cycle — because deliverable 3 asks you to distinguish seasonality, and the first series deliberately has none. Contrast the two.
Prefer your own dataset? You can use built-in R time-series data like AirPassengers or co2, or add your own CSV under Your data in the R lab (files up to 500 MB stay in your browser). But you don't need to — the R lab dataset is ready to go.
