1. Information We Collect
We collect:
- Account info: name and email address when you sign up
- Progress data: practice session results, competency scores, time spent (stored on your device and synced to our secure servers)
- Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe; we receive only a subscription status (active/expired) and a transaction reference — we never store your card details
- Technical info: browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/region) via server logs
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to: provide the adaptive learning experience, track your progress, process payments, send essential service emails (password resets, receipts), and improve the Service.
3. Data Storage and International Transfers
Your account and progress data are stored with Supabase in secure cloud infrastructure (US region by default). Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Both providers are SOC 2 compliant. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service you consent to this transfer.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only with:
- Stripe (for payment processing)
- Supabase (for data storage and authentication)
- Legal authorities if required by law
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser localStorage to remember your progress between sessions and essential cookies for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights
You may:
- Request a copy of your personal data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Export your progress, responses, payments, and achievement data as a JSON file directly from your profile page using the "Download my data" button

7. Children
QuantegyAI is intended for adults preparing for teacher certification. At account creation, every user is required to affirmatively confirm that they are 18 years of age or older before their account is created. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has submitted information can contact us at support@quantegyai.com.
8. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt-equivalent one-way functions. Payment data never touches our servers.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. Aggregated and anonymized data used to improve the Service may be retained indefinitely.
10. Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users by email within 72 hours of confirming the incident, consistent with applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify users of material changes via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
